The first part of the course will present the definition of nanomedicine in general and an overview of the different types of nanocolloids and nanoparticles and their application in drug delivery. The second part will focus on two different techniques such as atomic force microscopy and confocal laser scanning microscopy and their application in the investigation of living (cancer) cells.
More in detail:
1) Nanomedicine I: State-of-the art
2) Nanomedicine II: Current Applications
3) Drug Delivery I: Current Overview
4) Drug Delivery II: Applications
5) Colloidal Nanoparticles: Design and Functionalization
6) Hollow Polyelectrolyte Nanocapsules: History and Applications
7) AFM 1: Principles and Modes of operation
8) AFM 2: Applications to living (cancer) cells
9) Confocal Microscopy I: Principles and Applications
10) Confocal Microscopy coupled with AFM and TIRF: CAT design and applications
