Summary: Engineers are not aware that we are creating every day, every time we face a project. We have to use this creativity not only to build more beautiful structures, but to mainly build structures - that are capable of responding to all the demands imposed on each project in a holistic way, like structural efficiency, constructive suitability, sustainability, etc. It is an activity that one learns over time, with experience. This webinar shall describe the Conceptual Design process with different case studies.

Professor of Structural Concrete and Conceptual Design of Structures at the School of Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Madrid. fib Fellow. FIStructE. Honorary President of fib (International Federation of concrete). Former president of ACHE (Structural Concrete Scientific Association of Spain). Member of the Project Team that prepared Eurocode 2 (Structural Concrete). Founder and designer of FHECOR Consulting Engineers.
