Richard D. Cummings

Richard D. Cummings, a Visiting Professor from Harvard University, will hold a series of lectures at BOKU from 28th May to 7th June 2018.

Prof. Cummings is a Visiting Professor at the BOKU (28th May – 9th June 2018); his research focuses on the fundamental biological processes regulating cell adhesion and signaling with particular emphasis on the functions of glycans in glycoproteins and other glycoconjugates; his laboratory studies a wide variety of glycan binding proteins, e.g., C-type lectins and galectins, and their roles in specific cellular functions. He is also holding a series of lectures for students (Glycan recognition in the context of biological functions and disease processes, 772.006; see BOKU online for details).
