Poster Award der Internationalen Polysaccharide Konferenz an David Budischowsky

Die Forschung von DI David Budischowsky (Institut für nachwachsende Rohstoffe an der BOKU) "Fluorescence Labelling of Oxidized Reducing Ends of Cellulose” gewinnt den Poster Preis der 2021 EPNOE (European Polysaccharide Network of Excellence) Konferenz in Nantes, Frankreich.

The 7th European Polysaccharide Network of Excellence (EPNOE) conference was held in October, 11-15, 2021, in the vivid city of Nantes, France. EPNOE is a non-profit association promoting research, education, and knowledge-transfer between academia, industry, and civil society, in all fields related to polysaccharides science and technology. The conference is held every other year.

This year, one of the three poster awards went to the poster for a new analytical method for cellulose, namely “Fluorescence Labelling of Oxidized Reducing Ends of Cellulose” by David Budischowsky, Irina Sulaeva, Thomas Rosenau and Antje Potthast from the Institute of Chemistry of Renewable Resources.

This work is part of the FunEnz fibres research project in which BOKU is cooperating with the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) and Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT) to explore novel mechano-enzymatic modifications on cellulose using Lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs) for the development of high-value products in the forest industry.
