The Counseling for new students in the summer semester 2021 takes places from 11th January to 5th February and will be held online.
No matter if you are still looking for your desired study programme and want to know more about the studies at BOKU or if you have already decided and are looking for information about starting your studies - you definitely came to the right place!
Students from all fields of study at BOKU are involved in the counselling service in order to assist prospective students and fresh(wo)men. We offer general advice on choosing a course of study and on beginning your studies at BOKU.
In addition, specific advice on topics related to your studies can be obtained from the departments of the Students’ Union at BOKU (ÖH BOKU):
Department of Education Policy: study-related legal matters
Department of Social Policy: advice on financing studies (grants, scholarships), insurance, social issues (studying with a child, housing & employment)
Department for foreign students: counselling for non-Austrian students, in particular members from non-EU countries
This year, the introductory counselling will take place online, via Zoom. Please switch to the German site and make an appointment via the reservation tool. After that you will receive a confirmation e-mail with all further information.

Counseling for new students during the General Admission Period
To help students getting started at BOKU and making the right study program choices, the Austrian Students' Union at BOKU (ÖH-BOKU) offers individual counselling withing the general admission period. Apart from information on entering higher education and how to best get started, there is also substantial information on study-related legal matters, social issues and topics for foreign students.
