Sabrina Nebel - Curriculum Vitae

Sabrina Nebel received her bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien in 2015 and continued there with the master degree Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. Next to her master studies she became a member of the Competence Team Cell Culture Techniques in the Research Facility of the UAS Technikum Wien. There she worked on establishment of protocols for gene editing in mammalian cells using the Clustered Regularly Interspaced Palindromic Repeats-System (CRISPR-System), where in 2017 she carried out her master thesis on establishment of stable knockout cell lines in HEK293T cells and adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells. Her focus was on ablation of proteins potentially involved in mechano-transduction and chondrogenic differentiation. After finishing the master’s degree she continued to work for 2 years as a Junior Researcher on the CRISPR project and was involved in teaching.

In 2019 she entered the AG Kasper at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences to work on enhancing bioprocess strategies for isolation and expansion of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSC) and development of physiological potency assays for cell-based therapies.
