The SDG Internship Programme is a three-month internship organised by HORIZONT3000 in collaboration with their partner organisations in Africa.

The application process for BOKU students is handled by the Centre of International Relations. The committee of international studies at BOKU will first make a pre-selection, but the following final selection of interns is made by HORIZONT 3000.

BOKU students can select any of the following:

P04 Unterstützung der Zusammenarbeit mit den ländlichen Gemeinden: Beira, Mozambique
Requirements: A good level of Portuguese or Spanish in speaking and writing (min. B2 level). English is useful but not enough on its own.

P05 Supporting the Young Africa Agri-Tech Vocational Training Centre; Dondo, Mosambik
Requirements: A good level of Portuguese in speaking and writing. Alternatively, a minimum Spanish level of B1/B2.

P07 Unterstützung bei Wissensmanagement und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit; Nioro du Rip, Senegal
Requirements: A good level of French in speaking and writing (minimum B2).

P08 Unterstützung bei der Förderung von bäuerlichem Unternehmertum; Fimela, Senegal
Requirements: A good level of French in speaking and writing (minimum B2).

P10 Supporting the HORIZONT3000 Policy Dialovue East Africa Project; Kampala, Uganda
Requirements: A good level of English in speaking and writing (minimum B2).

P11 Supporting the HORIZONT3000 Enabling Rural Innovation East Africa Project; Kampala, Uganda
Requirements: A good level of English in speaking and writing (minimum B2).

P17 Supporting the ANPPCAN Regional Office in the area of External and Internal Communication; Kenya
Requirements: A good level of English in speaking and writing (minimum B2).

P18 Supporting HAART in Project Management and Communication; Kenya
Requirements: A good level of English in speaking and writing (minimum B2).

P20 Supporting Mukuru Promotion Centre in the areas of Community Sensitisation and Research; Kenya
Requirements: A good level of English in speaking and writing (minimum B2).

P21 Supporting FOWODE in Communication and Visibility of the SDGs, Uganda
Requirements: A good level of English in speaking and writing (minimum B2).

P22 Supporting Cultural Research Centre in the area of Project Implementation and Communication, Uganda
Requirements: A good level of English in speaking and writing (minimum B2).

P23 Supporting the Women’s Network (UWONET) in the area of External and Internal Communication, Uganda
Requirements: A good level of English in speaking and writing (minimum B2)
