Soil organisms (pathogens and symbionts) and their interactions with plants will be presented. Experiments with symbionts and plant pathogens (e.g. Mycorrhiza, Fusarium, Sclerotinia, Gaeumonnomyces, .. will be carried out.

The course builds on the basic knowledge of crop protection from the bachelor's programme.
- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

The students have a basic knowledge on an experimental set up, sampling and assessments AMF and pathogenic soil fungi. They are able to evaluate plant-symbiont-microbe interactions in the rhizosphere based on their own experience.
