Katharina Gössinger studied political science at the University of Vienna, University d´ Angers (France) and University of Otago (New Zealand). In addition, she completed the foundation course in International Business Administration at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration. Beyond her studies she gained practical experience at the Ministry of Education in the division of civic and environmental education, the Austrian cultural forum in Brussels, the Austrian Institute of Human Rights etc. After her final degree Katharina started working as a research assistant at the University of Natural Resources at the Institute of Organic Farming in the European project „Farmer Consumer Partnerships” (CORE Organic, fcp.coreportal.org/). In her PhD she is focusing on the topic fairness in the organic supply chain. In 2010 she completed a training course on “Integrated CSR-management”. As Katharina grew up on a winery in Lower Austria, she is currently enrolled in a special course on wine production.
Her research interests include Social Ecology, Rural Sociology, Sustainable consumption, Marketing of organic products and Discourse analysis.
PhD: Since 2008: Fairness in the organic supply chain (working title).
