Dr. Arzu Sedef, LL.M. (EULISP)

Arzu Sedef has been with the Institute of Law since November 2018, since February 2019 in the capacity of a post-doc researcher. In her research, she focusses on private economic law, in particular on information technology, intellectual property, and data protection law. In her publications, she deals with questions in the areas of competition law, intellectual property, and data protection law.

She studied law at the University of Vienna (master’s and Ph.D. in law) and completed further postgraduate studies (LL.M.) at the University of Hanover, Germany, and the University of Leuven, Belgium. During her doctoral studies, she worked as a teaching and research assistant at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (2007-2010). Additionally, she has worked in renowned Austrian law firms as (associate) lawyer and in a company as senior legal counsel (2010-2018). She passed her bar exam in 2013.
