This event is organized within the CEEPUS Umbrella Network “EcoManAqua - Ecology and Management of aquatic ecosystems in Central, East and Southeast Europe” and will include also enough time for exchange and discussion.

The presentations on the “Status of Danube salmon Hucho hucho in Romania” and on the “Status of invasive & rare gobies (Monkey goby Neogobius fluviatilis, racer goby Babka gymnotrachelus, ratan goby Ponticola ratan) in Romania” will be given by Daniel Cocan from Animal Science from University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Animal Science and Biotechnology Cluj-Napoca.

In addition as an absolutely unique opportunity we are happy, that for the first time in Austria the movie "Lives Among Waters" describing the socio-economic challenges that the residents of Sfantu Gheorghe, a fishing village in the Danube Delta, face, will be introduced and shown by Oana Ivan, who worked for 7 years on the movie. This unique film seeks to discover the daily life of fishermen and their families in the Danube delta and is based on the authors PhD-thesis. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
