in Vienna, from September 8-12

Discover IIASA population research at the BE OPEN – Science & Society Festival, a festival for everyone who is inquisitive.  Researchers from IIASA and the Wittgenstein Centre (IIASA, VID/ÖAW, WU), led by World Population Program (POP) Director Wolfgang Lutz, will represent the topic of demography in a separate pavilion as one of the festival's 18 scientific pop-ups.

Join the symposium on "Social Ecology: Research for a Sustainable Future," which will discuss sustainability and interdisciplinary research and honor IIASA collaborator Marina Fischer-Kowalski with the Society Prize.
