PhD Student Laura Hundscheid is featured in the Science and Politics blog of the Karl-Renner-Institut

Laura Hundscheid is in the middle of her PhD on the Green Protein Transition. She is studying how we can move away from a focus on animal proteins towards a healthier and more environmentally sound protein consumption.

 

Her PhD is part of the SDG 2 group in the UniNetz project working to formulate policy options contributing to the SDGs in Austria. SDG 2 – No Hunger, includes targets to reduce malnutrition and increase agricultural sustainability. The working group sees a reduction of meat consumption in Austria towards ‘less but better’ as a central lever in achieving these targets nationally as well as an important contribution to global progress.
