Anne Mogoi Birundu

Our colleague and BOKU doctoral candidate Anne was among the passengers of ET302. We are shocked and lost for words at the loss of Anne, who had dedicated her career to improving livelihoods through water resource development.

Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

Anne's thesis had the topic: "Scaling up of water conserving agricultural practices in female headed-households in the Lake Victoria Basin". Her work was part of the APPEAR project SCARA - 'Strengthening Capacities for Agricultural Education, Research and Adoption' in Kenya in the frame of a wider cooperation between BOKU, Egerton University, ICRISAT and IIASA. We offer our condolences to Anne's family. The BOKU-rectorate and the team of the Centre for Development Research on behalf of the BOKU family.
