Open to graduate students and researchers - Wilhelm Exner Haus - 2nd floor - Room 61

You are all invited to our open seminars organised within the Agriculture4Africa Hackathon.

The selected topics are:

- Monday 17.9. 11:00-13:00: African Agriculture: Challenges, Opportunities, and Future Outlook,  Titki Tarassoum (visiting speaker)

- Tuesday 18.9. 9:00-10.30: Land Management, Community Rights, and Rural Development in Mozambique,  Alda Salomao (visiting speaker)

- Wednesday 19.9 9:00-10.30: Big Data processing on cloud infrastructure: An example of the Google Earth Engine for remote sensing data, Emma Izquierdo (IVFL)

The Agriculture4Africa Hackathon is supported by the APPEAR program (EO4Africa project).   

The special challenge for the students will be to build an Augmented Reality Sandbox. Do you know what this is? A pretty cool tool to teach and play with digital maps.
