Visit to the ZeroFlex Rental Station in Klagenfurt West on September 9, 2025

As part of a project meeting on September 9, 2025, in Klagenfurt, project partners had the opportunity to test the Rock-E vehicles (e-bikes) at the Klagenfurt West location. A rental process was carried out using the app, followed by a test ride with the vehicles.

The goal of the ZeroFlex research project is to systematize and make mobility stations affordable, thereby elevating them to a new level—both at the level of individual mobility stations and as a system innovation offering an integrated service across all stations. The modular design of the ZeroFlex stations, including a cooperative system among all operators, allows for optimal adaptation to regional needs and potentials, significantly improving accessibility to the transportation system. This approach is essential for making a substantial contribution to climate goals in the field of transport and mobility, as well as achieving climate neutrality.

Additionally, ZeroFlex aims to make each station a viable business case, as this is crucial for the rapid proliferation of mobility stations. Only then will it be attractive for customers such as municipalities, businesses, and tourism operators to invest in these stations on a broad scale.

ZeroFlex includes innovative technology development with a near-term implementation and value-creation perspective for Austria, as all key components (including the vehicles) are produced in Austria and come from a single source.
