Fungal pathogen uses defence substances to promote its own growth
The mould Fusarium graminearum is one of the most significant pathogens in cereal cultivation. An interdisciplinary team at BOKU University has, as part of the FWF-funded Special Research Project SFB Fusarium, uncovered a previously unknown virulence strategy employed by this fungus.
