Tri-Nation Conference on Workplace Health Promotion by FGÖ in Innsbruck
The Institute for Transport Studies was represented by Sandra Wegener (project lead “BOKU Mobility4Health”), who, together with Kirsten Sleytr (BOKU’s Workplace Health Manager), discussed on site the synergies between everyday physical activity and the daily commute.
Leveraging synergies through “BOKU Mobility4Health”
The centerpiece of the exchange was the FGÖ-funded project BOKU Mobility4Health. The goal: to directly link active mobility with employee health. By promoting physical activity on the way to work, preventive health care becomes an integral part of everyday life.
Successful cross-institute collaboration
The project is a showcase for collaboration within BOKU. It brings together the expertise of the Institute for Transport Studies (IVE) and the Staff Unit for Occupational Safety and Health. Together, they are developing strategies that strengthen both sustainable mobility and well-being in the workplace.
A special highlight of the conference was the social program on Innsbruck’s Nordkette, which provided space for informal exchange and fresh perspectives.
