Under the motto EVERYBODY PLANS … SOMETIMES, the 31st International Conference on Urban Planning and Regional Development took place from April 23–25, 2026 at the Otto Wagner Areal in Vienna.

Roman Klementschitz (BOKU University, Institute for Transport Studies), a member of the REAL CORP Reviewer Committee, moderated three thematic sessions and gave a presentation on “Stakeholder Mapping and User Perception of Mobility Management for Commuters and Students: A Comparison of 7 Case Studies in Central Europe,” in which he presented results from the Interreg project GreenPATH (project team: Oliver Roider, Valerie Jeepjua, Roman Klementschitz). This project is co-funded by the Interreg Central Europe programme from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and promotes cross-border cooperation and regional development.

In the session “Mobility in Focus,” Sandra Wegener (BOKU University, Institute for Transport Studies) spoke about the project N2N – Sustainable mobility behavior from niche to norm, funded by the Province of Lower Austria (project team: Patrick Scherhaufer, Michael Braito, Elisabeth Schauppenlehner-Kloyber (Department of Economics and Social Sciences), and Sandra Wegener). She delivered the presentation “From Niche to Norm! Mobility profiles as a knowledge base for promoting active, sustainable mobility behavior in Lower Austrian cities.” The project focused on attitudes and motivations for mode choice, which were explored using a Q-study.
