Highlights of the Walking and Cycling Field Trip
Students from BOKU University took their classroom to the streets of Vienna. Under the guidance of Johannes Müller, they participated in a hands-on, engaging field trip within the “Walking and Cycling” lecture. The day focused on how modern urban planning can be translated into safe and attractive spaces for active mobility.
This excursion perfectly reflects our teaching philosophy: a solid education requires both deep theoretical knowledge and a direct view of real-world implementation. By experiencing successful examples of cycling and walking infrastructure on site, our students develop a strong understanding of the principles taught in the program. At the same time, they become familiar with the quality standards that will guide their future professional work.
