Reproducibility Research Prize at the hEART 2026 Conference
The research, presented by lead author Wanrong Hu, was conducted in close collaboration between the Institute of Transport Studies (IVE) at BOKU University, the Chair of Transportation Systems Engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), and TU Delft. In addition to Wanrong Hu, Denissa Purba, Yusak Susilo (BOKU), and Constantinos Antoniou (TUM) made significant contributions to the study.
The award-winning research focuses on the decarbonisation of road freight transport. The team analysed charging alternatives for battery-electric heavy-duty vehicles along various freight transport corridors, modelling the dynamic interactions between fleet operations, charging infrastructure capacities, queues, and infrastructure providers’ decisions.
The RERITE Prize recognises outstanding achievements in open science, as well as transparent and fully reproducible research methodology in transport research. The bilateral SeeFar project is jointly funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) and the German Research Foundation (DFG).
The Institute of Transport Studies warmly congratulates the entire project team on this international recognition!
