Insights from the 2026 SUM Forums organised by Stadt-Umland-Management Vienna/Lower Austria

At this year’s forums in Wiener Neudorf and Deutsch-Wagram, our IVE colleagues Sandra Wegener, Reinhard Hössinger and Vera Kretschmer gave a presentation on affordable and active mobility.

The events brought together regional stakeholders to discuss cross-border strategies for Vienna and Lower Austria. The focus was on active mobility, seamless walking and cycling networks, and the implementation of 15-minute-city principles in metropolitan regions.¹ ²

The SUM Forums are organised annually by Stadt-Umland-Management Vienna/Lower Austria to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience among stakeholders from different fields.¹ ³
