Systems Thinking and Transport Workshop 2025
Systems Thinking and Transport Workshop 2025
After an insightful introduction and reflections about System Dynamics and System Thinking in Transport by Astrid Gühnemann, Paul Pfaffenbichler, Gillian Harrison and Simon Shepherd, the event proceeded with two engaging sessions on freight transport including an in-depth discussion. The morning session was followed by a well-received catering service provided by our dedicated Mensa team. The afternoon sessions shifted the focus to personal mobility, featuring two more sessions and a lively discussion on the topic.
Throughout the event, poster walls visualised various research findings and insights, encouraging continuous engagement among the 22 participants, who took part in person. With 51 online participants in total 73 people took part in the workshop of the first day.
The evening concluded with a social gathering at Ulrich’s Restaurant in Vienna’s 7th district, providing an excellent opportunity for further discussions and networking in a relaxed atmosphere.
On the second day, the team of Radboud University, represented by Guy Peter van Nifterik and Peraphan Jittrapirom, conducted an interactive workshop on mobility hub planning, utilizing group model building as a value-elicitation method. The workshop, which was only open to physical participation, was attended by a total of 18 participants.
