New Course at the Institute of Soil Research: The Wonders of Soils

The Institute of Soil Research is pleased to announce a new course for the upcoming semester:

“The Wonders of Soils: Shaping the Future with Curiosity, Innovation & Technology – Designing Tools to Engage Youth with Soil Health.”

The course invites students to explore soil science in a creative, interactive and technology-supported learning environment. Working in small international teams, participants will evaluate and develop interactive learning materials, stories and case studies. The outcomes will directly contribute to the CURIOSOIL online course “Cultivating Curiosity: The Wonders of Soils.”

The course is open to students from different study backgrounds. No prior knowledge is required – curiosity, creativity and a willingness to collaborate are the only prerequisites.

By combining scientific knowledge with innovative communication approaches, the course aims to strengthen soil literacy and inspire new ways of engaging young audiences with soil health.
