Together with forest owners and Citizen Scientists, the ADAPT4K project investigates the impacts of climate change on forests and soils.

As part of the ADAPT4K project, fieldwork activities were carried out in Unterkirchbach together with forest owners, researchers and engaged Citizen Scientists. Soil samples were analysed, tree cores extracted and trees measured to better understand how forests respond to drought and rising temperatures.

The collected data support the development of long-term strategies for climate-resilient forests. A key aspect of the project is the direct exchange between science and practice in the field.
