Registration Open: SOILATHON 2026 – Biochar for Farmers
Biochar for Farmers: From Knowledge to Action
Biochar is increasingly recognised as a promising tool for carbon sequestration, soil health improvement, and climate-resilient agriculture. However, translating scientific knowledge into practical applications remains a major challenge.
To address this gap, SOILATHON 2026 – Biochar for Farmers will bring together researchers, students, farmers, advisors, entrepreneurs, industry representatives, and policymakers for an interactive innovation event focused on communication, knowledge transfer, and business development.
Participants will work in interdisciplinary teams to develop solutions that help make biochar more accessible and understandable for agricultural stakeholders across Europe. The event aims to connect scientific evidence with practical implementation and foster new ideas for sustainable carbon farming.
Why participate?
- Exchange ideas with experts from science, farming, industry, and policy
- Develop innovative concepts and real-world solutions
- Gain experience in entrepreneurship and innovation processes
- Expand your professional network
- Contribute to the future of sustainable agriculture and carbon farming
The winning team will receive a €500 prize and qualify for the European finals.
