Reinhard Steurer

Reinhard Steurer is professor for climate policy at BOKU Vienna. He works on the political dimension of the climate crisis, in particular on climate policies, but also on the role of society and businesses in changing the earth’s climate. On these topics, Reinhard Steurer is Associate Professor at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna. He works on the political dimension of the climate crisis. A current research focus is the analysis of psychosocial mechanisms such as climate denial, repression and tokenism in politics, business and society. Reinhard has a Master’s and a Doctoral degree in Political Science from the University of Salzburg/Austria (MA in 1997, Dr in 2001), a Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Maryland/USA (2002), and he concluded his Habilitation in Comparative Politics at BOKU in 2013. He has published more than 70 journal articles, book chapters and books, he gave 100+ presentations and even more lectures at four different Universities. His research has been published in well-known scientific journals such as “Policy Sciences” and “Climate Policy”.
