Reinhard Steurer is Associate Professor at InFER, the Institute of Forest, Environmental and Natural Resource Policies at BOKU Vienna. He works on the political dimension of the climate crisis, in particular on climate policies, but also on the role of society and businesses in changing the earth’s climate. On these topics, Reinhard has published about 70 journal articles, book chapters and books, he gave about 100 presentations and as many lectures. His research has been published in well-known scientific journals (such as Policy Sciences and Climate Policy). Reinhard has directed numerous research and consulting projects, commissioned inter alia by the European Commission, a variety of research funds, governments, and civil society organizations across Europe (ranging from Austria to Turkey). He has a Master’s and a Doctoral degree in Political Science from the University of Salzburg/Austria (MA in 1997, Dr in 2001), a Master’s in Public Policy (MPP) from the University of Maryland/USA (2002), and he concluded his Habilitation in Comparative Politics at BOKU University in 2013.
