Quick and easy access to e-journals and full articles

BOKU University Library has licenced a series of new tools that facilitate and speed up access to e-journals and articles:

LibKey Discovery
LibKey Discovery integrates with our search tool BOKU:LITsearch. It makes accessing full text articles seamless. You don´t have to browse publishers webpages anymore to find an article you´re interested in. Instead, you can just search the article title on BOKU:LITsearch and directly gain access by clicking on “Download PDF”.
The “view issue” option that pops up when searching a specific article will allow you to browse other articles within this journal.

BrowZine:
BrowZine is a digital platform for e-journals that allows you to search for and browse different e-journals. Additionally, you can display tables of contents and access full-text articles by clicking on a direct link. Also, you can browse by subject to explore new content.
If you create a free user account, you can use personalized features like “My Bookshelf” and others.
The free BrowZine App which enables you to use BrowZine on your mobile device is available on the App Store.

LibKey Nomad:
LibKey Nomad is a free-to-download browser plug-in supported by all current browsers. It helps you to find out if a licenced article is accessible to members of your university when searching on different publishing or research platforms like Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus or Web of Science. The browser extension delivers one-click access to available full text articles. When downloading the plug-in, make sure to select BOKU University as your institution.

LibKey.io:
On LibKey.io users can search for an article using permanent identifiers like DOI, PubMedID, PMID etc. If the full article is available through our Library, you will be able to access the PDF or article link.

These new services elevate the University Library´s service portfolio by further facilitating and speeding up access to digital resources for members of BOKU University.
