The German-language Master's programme in Forest Sciences provides a comprehensive education in sustainable forest management. Combining scientific, technical and economic approaches, it equips students with the skills to develop solutions to current challenges, such as adapting forests to climate change, reducing biodiversity loss, and ensuring the sustainable use of resources. Students acquire in-depth knowledge of silviculture, forest ecology, forest policy, forest inventory and remote sensing, and forestry technology. The programme prepares graduates to play an active role in shaping the future of our forests.

The English-language Master's programme in Mountain Forestry focuses on the sustainable management of forest ecosystems in mountainous areas. Providing an interdisciplinary education, it combines forestry, ecology, and socio-economic aspects to address the unique challenges of mountain environments. Key topics include forest management, biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation, and the protection of communities against natural hazards.

The English-language master’s programme in European Forestry is an international double-degree programme, which has been acknowledged by the European Commission as a top-quality European MSc under the Erasmus Mundus programme. The focus is on the international dimensions of forest resource management and utilisation, supported by a sound understanding of ecological conditions and their dynamics in Europe. The international environment of the MSc EF invites you to study and to meet friends from all over the world.

This German-language Master's programme in Alpine Natural Dangers/Watershed Regulation allows students to play an active role in protecting Alpine habitats and settlements. The programme develops innovative solutions for dealing with natural hazards, such as avalanches, mudslides and floods. Through practical projects, interdisciplinary approaches and state-of-the-art technologies, students are prepared for responsible roles in research, planning and disaster control.
