HR21 Research Clusters
The research framework is structured into four research clusters (RC).
The four RC are:
(i) Metabolism of natural and social systems, including sources and sinks of matter and energy addressing the coupling,
(ii) Connectivity within HR, encompassing social, ecological, hydrological and landscape aspects addressing the transformation processes,
iii) Vulnerability to impacts, risks and shifting baselines addressing the coupling, and
iv) Governance and planning addressing the transformation processes.
