Vienna. As our planet continues to heat up, BOKU is joining more than 300 universities, high schools and other organizations around the world to focus the world on a critical question. What can we do to help solve climate change while while inducing a socioecological transformation and a change of basic values to create a just and livable future for everyone?
On March 29th and 30th at 18.30, BOKU will host open dialogues on the topic of “Climate Change and Justice” in Vienna. Members of the public can find their event and register here for the first event on March 29th. This will be one of similar events held across the planet in late March, as part of the WorldWide Teach-in on Climate and Justice sponsored by Bard College in New York. Globally, from Kenyato Kyrgyzstan, Colombia to Canada, and Hong Kong to Hungary, students, teachers and community members will discuss steps that can really help the nation solve climate change, while inducing a socioecological transformation and a change of basic values to create a just and livable future for everyone.
Here in Vienna, the event will feature BOKU instructors and students, the pioneers of change and the "Mutmacherei", speaking on topics ranging from Hard facts on Climate Change from different perspectives to socioecological transformation and environmental justice and on the second day from inner dimensions of sustainability to a positive outlook for a just and sustainable future.
You are cordially invited to attend the event and enrich the discussion with your insights.
