The event "Land Rights - Land Titling vs. Communal Rights, examples from Ethiopia" is within a series of workshops of the RASFAS project and will feature in-depth discussions of land titling and communal rights in Ethiopia, a critical issue affecting agricultural sustainability and rural livelihoods.

The Research and Strategies for Food and Agriculture Sustainability (RASFAS) project, funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) and conducted in partnership with the Institute for Development Research (IDR) at University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, is bridging the gap between academic research and practical applications in agriculture and food systems. Focusing on critically examining current and long-term trends, the project seeks to harness scientific insights and experiences to address challenges within these sectors, particularly emphasizing the empowerment of small-scale farmers and promoting sustainable practices aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The workshop offers a platform for dialogue and knowledge exchange among researchers, policymakers, and practitioners. It aims to contribute valuable insights and strategies for addressing land rights issues in Ethiopia and beyond.
