Beschreibung:  New reactor designs pursue various technical approaches, some of which differ significantly from previous designs. Just as diverse as the reactor designs themselves are their developers—ranging from large, established companies to start-ups with only a few employees.

To facilitate the assessment of some of these projects, this year's Wiener Nuklearsymposium is dedicated to these new reactor concepts. Scientists conducting research on new reactors will have their say, as will developers. Risks and opportunities will be examined, and the promises and expectations associated with the new reactors will be critically evaluated.

The goal of the event is to provide an overview of the potential contribution of "new reactors" to energy production and the fight against climate change. Note: Due to the international nature of the topic, many of the presentations will be held in English.
