We are delighted to welcome Prof. Rajat Panwar, Professor of Responsible and Sustainable Business at Oregon State University, to BOKU from 30 November to 11 December 2026. During his visit, Prof. Panwar will offer two intensive courses bringing together current debates in business, sustainability and academic research:
Forests and Nature in Corporate Sustainability – WISO002366
How are forests and nature becoming part of corporate sustainability strategies — and when do corporate commitments translate into meaningful action rather than greenwashing? The course examines business and biodiversity, deforestation, certification, forest carbon, corporate accountability, regulation and environmental justice.
Publishing in leading business and management journals – WISO002367
What makes a research paper compelling to editors and reviewers, and how can researchers navigate the journey from a good idea to publication? This hands-on course addresses research positioning, theoretical and empirical contributions, writing and framing, peer review, responding to reviewers and developing an effective publication strategy.
Who should attend? The courses are relevant for Master’s students, doctoral researchers and colleagues working across sustainability, environmental governance, business, economics, forestry and natural-resource sciences. The publishing course is particularly suited to doctoral and early-career researchers.
