General University Scholarship Foundation for Universities in Vienna

As part of the 2025 call for applications from the "General University Scholarship Foundation for Universitiesin Vienna," up to 10 awards of EUR 1,273 each will be granted.

Purpose of the Foundation: 
To support bachelor and master students of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna(BOKU), who excel in their academic performance.

Criteria: 
1. Outstanding academic success within the calendar year 2024 (January 1, 2024 – December 31, 2024).The examination date as listed on the transcript or collective transcript applies.

Examination grades for exams taken from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024 will be converted into points according to the following criteria:

For each exam, per ECTS credit (subject exam, lecture, exercise, working group, seminar, etc.), the followingpoints are awarded:

 Points per ECTS
Grade 14
Grade 23
Grade 32
Grade 41
Grade 50

All graded exam performances will be considered (including elective subjects). The assessments "successfully participated" and "unsuccessfully participated" will not be considered. Bachelor's and Master's Theses and their seminars are also excluded. Only one application per course of study isallowed. 

2. Declaration of the ECTS and the Exam Points (calculated by the applicant) obtained between January 1,2024, and December 31, 2024.

A written application is required and must include the following documents: 

  • A curriculum vitae
  • A complete transcript of academic achievements for the year 2024 issued by the Study Department, which includes the grade point average calculated according to ECTS credits (please contact study services in order to obtain it).
  • A list of the obtained exam points and the indication of the ECTS credits between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024. (download here)

Applicants who have already received an award in previous calls are excluded from the current call.
