Current information on mobilities (COVID-19)
According to the current rectorate's information “Update COVID-19 | 07.02.2022" travel abroad is still not recommended due to the spread of the Omikron variant. Business trips abroad to countries with travel warning level 4 and lower by the BMEIA can be undertaken after approval by the superior respecting the travel regulations of the host country and Austria valid at the time of travelling. It should be abstained from business trips to countries with travel warning levels 5 and 6.
How to prepare for traveling abroad on university business / for a (master) thesis research abroad? What to do in case of an emergency?
Important information for traveling abroad on university business and students' research activities abroad (emergency plan):
- emergency checklist (in case of updates of the checklist, BOKU members will be informed separately, updates are marked with changes-tracking function in the document)
- travel insurance (can only be seen when logged in as boku-staff)
