Discovery Tour Campus Türkenschanze

In order to have a good start at BOKU, you need to be familiar with the layout of our campuses. This Discovery Tour will guide you to the most important points and give you information about studying, eating, relaxing and getting information at BOKU.

What do you need?

One camera or smartphone per group (internet access is available on all campuses with your BOKUonline registration data!), some money for food/lunch, be free until 2:45 pm and to have fun!

How does it work?

1. Look for the buddies that have the sign with the letter on your group card (A, B, C, D) and follow them to the first station.

There you will receive two sheets:

A. the first “tour sheet” with some questions and riddles on it. Try to answer all of these questions by following the instructions given.

B. A declaration of consent sheet for photos. The person that takes the group photo has to sign it (EU-Datenschutz-Grundverordnung / DSGVO).

2. Scan the QR Code at the station and find the place where the solution word is hidden. Please stay on the pathways and don't touch any plants!

When you have found this word, write it down and head to the next station, the location is on your tour sheet.

3. There are four different stations that you should visit one after the other. In the end you should have found 4 words that make up a solution sentence. All groups that successfully find it will receive a small gift! :-)

4. Lunch: While heading from one station to another, take some time to have lunch. This is a great way to explore the food options at BOKU. You will find some food tips on the tour sheets.

Photo Competition:

During the tour take a picture of your group that has some kind of connection to BOKU and shows what it is like to study here!

Send it WITH YOUR GROUPNAME & the Declaration of Consent to buddy(at)boku.ac.at until 1 pm!

There will be a vote for the best picture –the winner will get a special prize!

After sending the signed declaration, give it to a buddy at one of the stations.

Please note: The picture may be used on social networks, BOKU websites, BOKU-related external platforms and / or in BOKU publications for the purpose of reporting on the event, photo competitions, the university and its activities and documenting life at the university over time. Due to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). With the signature you allow us to use your photo for information purposes as mentioned above. If you don’t want to be in the pictures used for our information purposes, please make sure not to be in the photo.

After the Tour:

The final meeting will be at 2 pm in EH05, Exner Haus, where we’ll have the awards ceremony. Please be there on time (even if you haven’t finished all the stations)
To be able to win the prize, you must be present at the final meeting.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask our lovely buddies.

Good luck and have fun! :-)
