Move4Health – Fit & Mobile Action Week from April 23 – 26, 2026, at Türkenschanze

With activities such as a cyclist breakfast, a bike repair workshop, and a lecture on mindfulness, the Move4Health action week—organized by Sandra Wegener (IVE) and Kirsten Sleytr (Healthy BOKU)—successfully promoted active and healthy mobility at BOKU.

We kicked off the day on Monday, April 23, 2026, with a cyclist breakfast (sponsored by Ströck) at the Türkenschanze campus. Numerous BOKU staff members and students who arrived by bike, on foot, or via public transport gathered for a relaxed exchange over coffee and fresh bread.

Simultaneously, a bike repair workshop took place, which was also a resounding success. A big thank you to Kevin and Martin from mobilerfahrradcheck.at, who guided participants with great patience and humor on how to perform minor repairs themselves and shared many helpful maintenance tips.

The Move4Health action week concluded with a lecture by Mag. Ina Lukl from IBG on the topic: "Navigating the Traffic Jungle with Mindfulness – On the Go in the Here and Now." From traveling with more composure to dealing with moments of frustration, the session provided many practical—and sometimes lighthearted—tips.

These activities were organized by Sandra Wegener (Institute for Transport Studies) and Kirsten Sleytr (Healthy BOKU). They were held as part of the BOKU Mobility4Health project in cooperation with the Interreg project GREENPATH.

Stay tuned for what’s coming next to bring more movement into your daily routine!
