Introduction into the method of vulnerability assessment for natural hazards (structural, economic, institutional, and social vulnerability). Introduction into the method of integral risk management, in particular with respect to gaps between the theoretical framework and the implementation in Austria.

To gain insights into the concept of vulnerability both from an multi-disciplinary point of view and with respect to methods and tools to assess vulnerability for mountain hazards. To gain insights into the concept of integral risk management by the example of the alpine area.
