Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Upon positive completion of this course the students will be able to describe the DNA structure, including the most common mechanisms leading to functional changes. They will be able to interpret these changes relevant to animal breeding and genetics. Students will understand the various applications of the genomic data in the current scientific literature and will be able to correctly interpret the results.
