Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

The most important aim of these fieldwork course is to train the students in the appropriate use of various surveying equipment, such as theodolites, levelling instruments and total stations. Measurements taken in the field are used later to demonstrate how the data has to be treated mathematically. At the end of the fieldwork, the students should be able to apply the optimal surveying methods for the solution of tasks encountered as part of their work as land managers and as engineers.
