Content

Development of Enzyme Immunosorbent Assays for the usage in Food Analysis: Immunogen synthesis, Immunisation strategies, development of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies, preparation of microtiterplates, ELISA-formats, validation guidelines for ELISAs for food analysis.

Previous knowledge expected

Principles in biochemistry according to structure and composition of proteins, especially enzymes and antibodies.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Draft knowledge about different possibilities for antibody develpment. Understanding about ELISA-design and development. The student is able to distinguish between the different possible ELISA-formats. Differentiation, illustration and discussion about the obtained results from the conducted experiments.
