Previous knowledge expected

Only master students are allowed to participate in this course. In case of too many registrations we additionally restrict to master programs close to the subject area.
A basic knowledge of physics, mathematics, meteorology and geosciences is expected.
Skiing or snowboarding skills are required.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

The students have a profound knowledge of snow physics, avalanche formation and avalanche dynamics. They are fit to carry out guided research projects in the field of snow and avalanches.
