Research in the field of sustainable resource use, societal metabolism and industrial ecology as an interdisciplinary combination of natural, social and cultural sciences. Presentation/discussion of concepts, methods and research results in the context of dissertations.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Through intensive interdisciplinary exchange about their own work between the natural and social sciences, the doctoral candidates find a common language and are able to situate results against the background of theories and methods of their own scientific discipline. Dissertation students expand their theoretical and methodological spectrum in the seminar and are more proficient in moderation and scientific presentation techniques at the end of the seminar.
