The students get an insight into the interrelations between abiotic and biotic processes in rivers. Based on monitoring studies of realised measures the efficiency of those is analysed. The choose of adequate methods and parameters, the performance in practise and the interpretation of data is discussed with respect to the achievement of the planned goals.
