Overview of key issues involving recent wildlife-based conflicts in Europe and especially Austria. Multiple perspectives will be presented, including scientific, policy, and particularly on-ground management of wildlife and natural resources. Ecological and social dimensions will therefore be considered.
Case studies will be presented for forested landscapes, urban areas, and freshwater wetlands (e.g., rivers, lakes, and marsh). Example species groups will include invasive species, native species, and reintroduced species.
