The vegetation types of grassland in Austria are presented. Differentiation according to nutrient content, type of use and intensity of use is explained. Biocoenotic aspects, problems of tending, utilization and succession as well as aspects of subsidies and economics are discussed. The course comprises three one-day excursions.
