Content

Flow classification, hydromorphology and connectivity; fish ecology;
detailed knowledge of the effects of anthropogenic interventions on / in river systems ( regulation / construction of power plants ); in-depth knowledge of restoration ecology is presented with examples in different spatial scales and time horizons

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Based on the course Hydrobiology I students will gain advanced and detailed knowledge of the ecology of riverine systems with particular emphasis on hydromorphology, dynamics and connectivity
Students will acquire an in-depth understanding of issues of restoration ecology based on examples
