The lecture is dealing with a basis assortment of perennials and annuals for plantations in the public space and in private gardens.Every plant is shortly characterized. Showing lots of photographs, the knowledge will be deepened and taking pleasure in the utilisation of the plants is promoted.
The structure of the lecture is according to the system developed by HANSEN & STAHL. Two of the seven plant-sessions are taking place at the school-garden of the HBLFA Schönbrunn to study the plants there alive.

The examination consists of two parts: 30 plants out of the whole pool have to be identified with latin botanical name. Aditionally, every student is being asked some questions on the use of plants or other theoretically items.
