Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

The most important aim of these fieldwork course is to train the students in the appropriate use of various surveying equipment, such as theodolites, levelling instruments and total stations. Measurements taken in the field are used later to demonstrate how the data has to be treated mathematically. Students are also given the opportunity to practice the terrestical surveying tasks for point location using photogrammetry. At the end of the fieldwork, the students should be able to apply simple surveying methods for the solution of tasks encountered as part of their work as forest engineers.
